The Sumo was and still is the ultimate weapon in deep snow. with the widest sidecut in the Volkl range(145-125-142) it glides effortlessly over powder hangings, creating a surf like feeling.

The Sumo has always stunned with its dimensions since its inception two years ago. Now entering its third season the core has changed to the lighter and more manageable honey-combed Dual Layer Sensor Wood Core. Available in two lengths, 175 and 190, the Sumo’‘s are pure powder skis with little use for on-piste riding. The flex is relatively tolerant and they are not for the hard-core, high-speed, straight lining skier.
The Sumo’‘s love the back-country, heli-skiing guy or gal that want a light, smooth flexing ski and they reward you with a silken ride to further enjoy the terrain.
Wood-cored, cool graphics and a huge ski to keep the advanced to expert skier afloat in the most glorious conditions. A lovely finish to this ski, especially the top-sheet only add to the appeal. Pure powder skis.
