Description of Bad Gastein from
Valloire is located at the foot of the Galibier. It is one of the most important resorts of the Maurienne valley. The little village with its distinctive alpine charm (superb baroque church) nestles in the hollow of a valley just 17 km from the A43 motorway. The ambience is family-oriented and relaxing. The skiable slopes are connected with Valmeinier and destined for medium-level and beginning skiers. Not to be missed: the ice and snow sculpture contest in mid-January.
Description of Bad Gastein from
At the end of the Gastein valley is the hot springs village of Bad Gastein, which is also a little known ski resort. You can choose either the Bad Gastein ski pass or the one that allows access to the entire valley and essentially gives you four times the skiable terrain. Either way, everyone will be satisfied. After a great day on the slopes, or if you don’t ski at all, numerous activities await you, including a bath in the hot springs.
