Dynastar have produced a race-level skier cross ski for the public for the last few seasons and 2007 has the latest incarnation of what is a race GS ski with revised plate and graphics. These skis are Fast! They are lean and mean, there isn’‘t a huge sidecut and these ski are more like speed missiles rather than helping you learn how to carve. There are no kid gloves here, just Mike Tyson power and brutality. With this competition level Skiercross rocket, they are best kept to groomed runs and preferably hard snow that will give you the grip and acceleration to drive these beasts alarmingly quickly. Head also have a race Skiercross, the Volkl Superspeed with “Piston” is getting there, or you could just grab a race GS ski and forgo the graphics, best in the hands of experts but in good conditions very sporty advanced skiers may also find them “fun”.
