Hardcore! Developed by the Head Freeride team with no holds barred, super stable and with a massive 37m radius, these guys are made for huge backcountry action. You'd have to be very lucky to have the snow for these on a one-week a year vacation, but if you're doing seasons or heading heliskiing then they are ideal for those huge powder days. Very strong and stiff, the new AK Rocket swallowtail is subtler even though it is longer; the Dominique Perret from Stockli is a real beast. But this Head Monster is a great ski and along with the Gotama from Volkl it just glides and powers through the deepest rubble on the hill.
