Over the years I have not been a devoted fan of the Monster range. They have managed to subtly blend the characteristics of a Northern lass gyrating in her stilettos of a Saturday night-large, slow, stable but not too inspirational. Alas! The sidecut now has more shape, they arc through soft snow and bite on to hard-pack. The new flex-pattern is well-tailored to the task and you can vary speed and the terrain that you wish to ski without being dictated to by the thuggery of some of the previous models. Much improved and a good choice for experienced skiers hunting for an all-round all-terrain beast. Think Range Rover.
