Black like the the belt of a martial master. If you don't have the grades to ski them, you'll be thrown out the dojo, injuries included. Very hight tension, very damp. They make you feel that they don't like air at all, made to be sticked on the ground and driven like it was your last day to live.

A new 165cm size became available this season to comply with the new rules. Many instructors I have spoken to prefer this longer length as it makes them much more of an "all mountain" ski than the previous 157cm, which was known for its leg burning properties. Fantastic fun, which is what slalom skis should be, and still give as many smiles per turn as any other ski on the market. Downsides-well they are awful in bumps with that flared tail, but you'll grin everywhere else!
