Big skis for Big Mountain skiing, these skis are to the Freeride movement what a Fender guitar is to music: they are rocking, stomping and freeing the known world. Designed for serious Heli skiing and big powder day jaunts; they are hyper stable, you need half a mountain to make a turn, and all but the really radical feels tame. If you have the legs and other accruements to keep up with them then they are fantastic. If you are getting only one week a year on skis, even if it is all off-piste then I expect them to be too hot to handle, go with the Pocket Rockets or the new Scream Xtra Hot.
