Fischer have had great success in recent times with Bode Miller and Michael von Gruenigen, and the RC World Cup's mirror the skis of the circuit with the huge oversized tips that allow the skier to engage the edge very early in the turn. For GS skis the radius is so small that they aren't useable in competition, but they are good fun, if a little tiring because it is hard to vary the radius of turn. Almost the exact opposite of Atomic in their approach and it is worth trying the Head if you like the feel of these but want a ski with which to vary the radius; otherwise try the Equipe 10 2V or the Dynastar for fast fun and frolics. There is also a slalom ski that, although is made purely for short turns, has many of the benefits such as the incredibly tight radius of the GS skis, and great stability, it's only negative is the lack of agility and versatility.
