Another all-new ski in the Salomon range, the Annecy boys have been very busy of late. Although the shape hasn’‘t changed too much, they are still aggressive at the beginning of the turn and have an almost GS-ski like turn-in at the initial phase of the turn. The new V12 has an all-wood core, new Smartrak Prolink and a composite monocoque. The ski is certainly much more stable and beefier than the previous 2nd generation model but it does lack the liveliness of that ski, the majority of skiers will prefer this increase stability over last years model. Stable at speed, good grip and a sturdy companion on the race for the “last one to the café buys the hot chocolates” or beer in spring. Also check out the Equipe GC if you like the sound of the V12 but prefer a racing image.
