Street friendly racers that are great in the hands of competent black run skiers, developing or starter racers and instructors. There is a new plate to replace the aged junior Hangle plate, this gives more life to the ski, the flex feels much more even and certainly more forgiving. The sidecut of the ski itself hasn’‘t changed from last year and the ski has superb turn-in ability at the top of the turn, it is great fun when conditions are good and for a “shop” race ski imparts a lot of stability and confidence to go for ever more direct lines. Construction hasn’‘t changed markedly for this season but the work is all in the plate and new bindings, there is still the option of the classic 914 binding that many experienced skiers will be familiar with and hold in high esteem. Again these skis comply to the FIS norms and so are very useable and in fact much quicker in the hands of the not very experienced than can often prove the case with a pure race machine and all their intolerances. Not forgetting the new cosmetics the skis look great and the black colour scheme looks very racy and aggressive, a great package.
