The ski area of Anzère begins at 1,500m above sea level and reaches up the mountainside to 2,500m, this 1,000m difference in heights means that the terrain is incredibly varied and every level of skier and snowboarder will find areas which are fun and suitable for them. If you're new to snow sports the excellent ski schools can teach you on the nursery area and beginners have around 12km of slopes to choose from. However Anzère's ski area is best suited to intermediates with most of the runs graded red. Experts will find 6km of tough black slopes but the real attraction for advanced riders is the off-piste, especially the heli-skiing trips up to the Wildhorn glacier. |
