During the snow sports season in Engelberg the temperature and weather conditions vary widely because the season lasts so long. From October to May skiing and snowboarding is possible around Engelberg thanks to the high altitude of the slopes and the vast area available on the glacier. In general you can expect cold temperatures in Engelberg, as most of the slopes face north. Although the Brunni ski area faces south and therefore feels warmer. As springtime arrives the temperatures will rise but when you're 3,000m up on the glacier, you'll still need all your best winter clothing.
