Snow Grindelwald

The winter season in Grindelwald runs from November until April, and although surrounded by some of the most spectacular peaks in Europe, the resort doesn't have the highest altitude and sometimes suffers from unreliable natural snow. However the ski area is well equipped with artificial snow making machines which ensure you'll find good snow cover during your holiday. One benefit of this lower altitude is that most of the slopes into the resort run through trees, which give shelter and good visibility if the weather closes in.
