As you'd expect from a snow sports paradise like Verbier there's a huge amount of choice. Beginners and complete novices shouldn't be put off by Verbier's advanced skiing reputation, there are a choice of ski schools in the resort and fantastic nursery slopes just above the village. Beginners and intermediates have the greatest of choice around Verbier with the huge number of blue and red runs. Experts will be completely enchanted by the opportunities there - highlights include the bumpy Tortin bowl, the intense couloirs down from Les Attelas and the black runs around Mont Gélé which even scare professional riders! For snowboards at Verbier there's a large snowpark at La Chaux, a half pipe and a number of small fun parks. Boarders will find unequalled off-piste terrain to explore around Verbier, some of the best are the descents from Mont Gélé and Mont Fort. |
