Breckenridge with Snowrental

Originally a mining town Breckenridge is now one of the largest and best winter sports destinations in Colorado. Great for winter holidays of all budgets, Breckenridge is often cheaper than its neighbouring resorts but still has fantastic facilities and loads of character.

From the town with its one hundred year old buildings you can access the slopes of this amazing resort. The snow sports terrain of Breckenridge covers a huge area, 2,358 acres across four mountain peaks, and has almost endless options for every level of snow sports enthusiast. There are a vast number of groomed slopes for beginners and intermediates to enjoy and up on the higher areas experts will find alpine bowls with steep terrain. For freestyle sports Breckenridge is legendary. It was a pioneer of snowboarding in the US and it's still a trend setter - there are five snow parks in total, one park for every ability level. And with only 600 acres of the 2,358 acres of the ski area being regularly groomed there is plenty of freeride terrain open for exploration, especially up at the highest altitudes.

Along with regular skiing and snowboarding there are also a multitude of alternative activities to be found around Breckenridge. You can ice skate on Maggie Pond or the Breckenridge Memorial Ice rink, you can explore the area and neighbouring ghost mining towns on snowmobiles, take a dog sled ride, snowshoe through the wilderness, or visit some of the historic monuments in the old town - the Gold Mine Tour is an excellent way to learn about Breckenridge, and there are two museums which you can visit. In town there's also the Breckenridge Recreation Centre which is open to the public and houses a swimming pool, spa facilities, and sports halls.
